GIA Avionics Fan

a) Inspect remote avionics fan for dirt accumulation and other damage. Remove excess

dirt as required.

b) Ensure that the fan is operational.

The GMU 44 is mounted below the starboard wing. Refer to Figure 2-5 and Figure 2-6 for the following inspection.

GMU 44

a) Remove the three Phillips screws holding the GMU access plate to the wing.

b) Carefully lower the assembly and inspect the GMU 44 and rack.

Inspect the mounting hardware and GMU 44 for corrosion or other damage.

d) Reinstall the GMU 44 beneath the wing.

For all other equipment installed under this STC listed in this maintenance manual, use the
inspection procedures set forth in Chapter 05 of the DA40 Airplane Maintenance Manual.
