The Outdoor Pool Table Maintenance & Cleaning
The cloth
Keeping the cloth in good conditions is of the greatest importance to ensure that balls can roll properly and therefore
guarantee that your table is frequently used.
When the cloth is new, during the first three months of use, it is necessary to brush it as often as possible to bring it to its best
conditions. Use the brush supplied right on this purpose. Always brush the cloth in the same direction toward the end of the
table. Never brush in a circular motion. Afterwards, frequently brush the cloth to prevent dust from accumulating.
Cloth may also be vacuumed, in one direction only. Finish the maintenance by rubbing the entire area with a damp cloth to
restore the cloth elasticity and the colour brightness.
For an increased protection against light (prolonged exposition to direct sunlight may cause the colour to fade), dust and
moisture, cover your table when not in use, using the protection cover included.
If a drink should be accidentally spilled on the cloth causing a stain, do one of the following:
a) using a damp cloth (cotton or linen, the latter is preferable because does not leave residuals) rub the stained area;
b) if the stain remains, use a chemical spray for dry cleaning, for example type K2R, which does not leave rings.
The cloth on a home table (meaning a table played one hour per day as an average) wears out very slowly and, if you brush
and protect it as recommended, it will last many years before it becomes necessary to replace it.
Cabinet
In general it is sufficient to rub surface with a damp cloth and dry them well.
A deeper cleaning you can use any neuter detergent which does not contain alcohol, wax or abrasives, having care to
completely take it off and not to leave surfaces wet.
As a general rule, when you do not use your table, use the protection cover included.
Pockets
Dust pocket liners frequently. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed. Dry with a soft clean cloth.
If your table has basket pockets, avoid storing balls in baskets for extended periods of time. If you do, distribute balls evenly
in all pockets.
Balls
Clean balls as needed with a mild household degreaser. Dry and polish with a clean soft cloth. Stubborn stains can be
removed with a non-abrasive cleanser. Dry and polish with a clean soft cloth. For improved shine, after cleaning balls, apply
paste wax and buff to a bright luster.
Cues
Always store cues upright in wall rack located away from outside walls, doors and heat vents.
Because wooden cues are susceptible to warping, never lean cues against a wall or table for any length of time.
Clean cues as needed with a damp rag and mild soap. Dry and polish with a clean soft cloth.
Further information
Never sit on the pool table, as it could break the seal between the rails and cushions, resulting in dead cushions that produce
no ball response or could throw it out of level.
