9.1
Shutdown
Routine shutdown
Routine shutdowns are for example shutdowns for
maintenance work.
1. Switch main switch OFF and secure to prevent
switching back on.
2. Close the shut-off valves between the com-
pressor and compressed air network.
3. Depressurise the aftercooler by careful opening
of the air vent valve.
Shutdown for a longer period
For shutdowns longer than six months, contact
Gardner Denver.
Final shutdown
To prevent restarting of the compressor or misuse
by unknown parties, the compressor must be ren-
dered unusable.
The compressor is rendered unusable by removal
of the electronic control unit. Contact Gardner
Denver for advice.
9.2
Lubricants and additives
The compressor contains approximately 54 l of oil.
The drive motor lubricator contains two grease
cartridges.
Safety data sheets
When handling operating fluids and additives, the
corresponding safety data sheets must be ob-
served.

Removal

ing fluids and additives
Lubricants and additives may cause ir-
reparable damage to the health, trigger
allergies or irritate the mucous mem-
brane.

When handling lubricants and ad-
ditives, always observe the locally
valid operating instructions/haz-
ardous substance data sheets.

Avoid direct contact with lubricants
and additives. Wear personal pro-
tective equipment!

Where injuries occur in which lubri-
cants and additives are involved,
consult a doctor and name the sub-
stances involved.
Have the hazardous substance data
sheet readily available.

fluid that has escaped.

Preconditions
The compressor is out of service.
– The compressor is switched to a zero volts
state.
– The main switch is switched to OFF and se-
cured to prevent switching back on.
– The compressor is depressurised.
– Liquids and grease are as far as possible
removed.
