9.12 General maintenance and cleaning
Important
Remove oil residues and other deposits from unit
parts and from the coolers of compressors, which
are exposed to hot compressed air, according to
the operating instructions.
Blow off the screw compressor unit with
compressed air at the specified intervals (never
direct compressed air towards persons) paying
particular attention to:
Regulating elements
Fittings
Compressor block
Cooler
Electric motor
Filter (option)
The maintenance of the electric motor is to be
performed in line with the motor operating instructions.
The electric motor is permanently lubricated.
9.13 Clean / change cooling air filter mat

1 Filter mat cooling air inlet
2 Mounting
bolt
3 Bottom access panel
4 Inlet filter (only L07RS-L11RS)
5 Outlet filter (only L07RS-L11RS)
Danger
Only perform filter mat change after the
compressor system has been shut down and
depressurized!
a) Perform filter mat change as follows:
Remove mounting bolt (- 2 - Fig. 23).
Remove filter mat (- 1 - Fig. 23) and clean,
exchange if damaged.
Re-insert filter mat in the bottom access panel
(- 3 - Fig. 23).
Secure filter mat by means of the mounting bolt.
Cleaning:
Clean the filter mat by brushing or washing.
Important
Never install the filter mat in a wet or moist state!
b) Inlet filter and outlet filter of control cabinet
(only L07RS-L11RS):
Open the louvred grilles of the inlet filter
(-4- Fig. 23) and of the outlet filter (-5- Fig. 23).
Remove the filter pad.
Insert the new filter pad into the louvred grille.
Ensure that the smooth side (-A- Fig. 23) of the
filter pad faces the air inlet side.
Place the louvred grille back onto the filter
housing.
Changing times for the filter mat
The operating modes and the quality of the suctioned
air (e.g. dust content) has a strong influence on the filter
service life.
The filter should be checked on a weekly basis,
eventually daily basis, for dust build-up.
In these operational cases, shorter change intervals are
possible.
