Refuelling
The engine may only be operated with a
mixture of fuel (unleaded fuel with
minimum 89 Octane) and high quality oil for
air-cooled two-stroke engines. Only use oil
without anti oxidant additive that is especially
formulated for air-cooled two- stroke
engines.
Mixing Ratio: Fuel 40: Oil 1.
Starting the Engine – Cold Start
1.
Lay down the machine with the tank and the protective hood on the
ground. Make sure the cutting tool (brush cutter blade or spool) does
not touch the ground or other foreign objects.
2.
Place the Start/Stop switch to the position "I" (Start).
3.
Move the choke downwards (to the position "ON").
4.
Press the primer several times, until the transparent bubble fills with fuel.
5.
Grasp the control handle with the right hand. This way the throttle lock
will be pressed, too.
6.
Push the throttle lever and the half-throttle lock button
simultaneously.
7.
Hold the half-throttle lock button pressed and release the throttle lever
and the throttle lock. The half-throttle lock button (6) will automatically
remain in the depressed position.
8.
Assume a save position.
9.
Use your left hand to keep the machine strongly pressed on the
ground. ATTENTION: Do not put your foot on the shaft or kneel on the
shaft.
10.
Pull the starter handle vigorously 4 to 5 times.
11.
Pull the starter handle quickly and forcefully up to the cable end
several times, until the engine starts.
Please note that the engine will start at half acceleration and with
rotating cutting tool.
