Instructions for Use
Before you start:
Remove all packaging material and take out the cattle with the stand. Make sure the wall plug
has the same ratings as on the appliance electrical label. Before first use, fill the cattle with
water to MAX level, turn it ON and let the water boil. Empty the cattle and repeat at least 5
times.
Using the cattle
Unwind sufficient cord from the storage area to reach the power outlet. Then place the
power base on a dry, flat surface.
Release the lid (P6) by pulling the lid lock (P5) and lift up. Fill the cattle with cold drinking
water.
Make sure that the water level is between the minimum and maximum marks on the water
level scale (P4). Do not switch on the kettle when empty.
Check and correct the filter’s position before boiling the water (P7). If the filter is missing, the
automatic OFF switch will not function properly when boiling the watter.
Close the lid and place the kettle back on the base. If the lid is not closed, the automatic
OFF switch will not function properly when boiling the watter.
Insert the electrical plug in to the grounded wall outlet with coresponding parameters. This
will prolong the connector‘s life.
Use the thermostat to set the temperature. Turning the dial clockwise increases the tempera -
ture up to 100°C . When the temperature is reached, the kettle turnes OFF automatically.
Switch the kettle on by the main switch to position „I“. The indicator light will go on showing
that the water is being boiled.
When the water has boiled, the kettle will switch off automatically.
Do not remove the kettle from the power base without first switching off.
The kettle may be switch off at any time by either pushing the main switch of the kettle to the
off position „O“.
Remember if you wish to re-boil, put the main switch of the kettle to the “ON” position.
After reaching the boiling temperature, the cattle will automatically turn OFF. The main
switch (P1) will automatically return to the position „0“.
When pouring out the water incline the kettle slightly and gradually. Do not forget that hot
water is inside.
An automatic safety boil-dry cut-out has been fitted for protection against overheating: It will
also operate if the kettle is switched on when containing insufficient water. Always ensure
the water inside the kettle covers the minimum mark on the water level indicator gauge. If
the cut-out has operated, turn the main switch (P1) to the „0“ position if it does not happen
automatically. Disconnect from the power outlet and allow the kettle to cool down for 5 to 10
minutes. Then refill with enough water and switch on; the kettle will then boil and cut off as in
normal operation.
