WEIGHING IN AUTOMATIC
(WALKOVER) MODE
While in automatic (walkover) mode, the animal weights are saved into a
session created by the Weigh Scale. The sessions are created based on the
milkings start times set up in the Weigh Scale, see
Set Milking Start Times (p
11).
We recommend that you leave the Weigh Scale on at all times, unless
removing the Weigh Scale. There is no need to turn off the Weigh Scale
after milking.
To weigh the dairy herd automatically:
1. Turn the mode select switch to
A
(Automatic).
If there is a current milking session the
Herd Stats
screen displays the
Milking session and Herd name.
If there is no current milking session the session and herd name is
replaced with “No session active”.
As animals are weighed the herd statistics are updated.
A milking session is only created once the first animal is weighed on the
weighing platform.
When a session is skipped for any reason, the screen continues to display
the milking session and Herd name. These are cleared at midnight or
when the next milking session starts.
Note:
No information is saved for the skipped session.
2. Once a milking is complete and there has been no activity (i.e. no animal
weighed) for more than one hour, the session is closed and the time of
the next milking session displays.
3. When the next milking time arrives, the screen changes to display the
herd statistics for the new session. The herd name and milking number
