If you do not wish to use any other functions of the clock, the installation process is now
completed. Refer to the instructions below for further functions and features regarding the
operation of this device.
Information on synchronizing the radio clock signal:
Time and date are radio-controlled. The current time is synchronized with the radio signal from
Frankfurt, Germany (DCF77).
Time and date are radio-controlled. The current time is synchronized to the radio signal from
Frankfurt, Germany (DCF77). DCF77 is a time signal broadcast as encoded time information on
a normal frequency of 77.5 kHz. The transmitting power is approx. 50 kW with a broadcasted
power of approx. 30 kW and coverage of approx. 1500 km in the vicinity of Frankfurt/Main
(Mainflingen). When using the clock for the first time, the clock automatically starts searching for
the radio signal and the reception icon
starts flashing. Once the device reveices the radio
clock time, the
icon lights up steadily in the display. The receiver icon flashing
indicates
that a signal is currently being received.
Search for the radio signal manually:
Press and hold the
DOWN
button (B3) for 2 seconds in order to start the manual search
of the radio signal. The radio signal icon (A3) starts flashing in the display.
Please also observe the following operating instructions:
1. The device will be synchronized automatically every day.
2. Do not install the device near sources of interference, such as TV appliances,
computers, or similar.
3. Avoid placing the device next to or on metal surfaces.
4. It is not recommended to use the device in locations such as airports, basements,
factories and rooms that incorporate reinforced concrete in their walls.
5. Do not start radio reception while in a moving vehicle such as a car or train.
