1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS.
The GALA 160 PFC are single-phase electronic technology appliances (INVERTER) designed for use as a continuous
current source for coated electrode (MMA) and TIG welding process. Their descending characteristic permits excellent
arc stability in the electrode welding process. The use of this technology has led to obtaining a lightweight and high
performances equipment.
GALA 160 PFC are characterised by implementing the Power Factor Correction technology, which optimises power
consumption. This control system allows the installation capacity full efficiency to be fully taken advantage of so that
it can maximise the welding current available without useless power losses.
This machine is the ideal solution for professional use in maintenance and assembly activities wherever is desired:

Great transportability and maximisation of power with optimised electrical energy supply (16 A plug).
Possibility of 3,25 mm electrode welding with limited installation power. Works with domestic electrical supply.

Allows welding of all types of electrodes, including aluminium and cellulosic electrodes.

Allows welding of a 3,25 mm electrode by connecting the machine to an extension cable of 3x2,5mm which
can be up to 250 meters long. You can even weld a 2,5 mm electrode with an extension cable of up to 500
meters.

Automatic adaptation to mains (95÷265 V). It works perfectly with a generator, adapting to the electrical
supply reducing the necessary power of the generator to the minimum level.

Automatic adaptation to mains (95÷265 V). Allows you to weld connecting it to any type of single-phase
electrical supply in any part of the world.
