6.2 Cleaning the appliance before using it
for the first time
Clean the cooking compartment and accessories be-
fore using the appliance to prepare food for the first
time.
1.
Ensure that there is no leftover packaging, ac-
cessories or other objects in the cooking compart-
ment.
2.
Clean the smooth surfaces in the cooking compart-
ment with a soft, damp cloth.
3.
Close the appliance door.
4.
Ventilate the room while the appliance is heating.
5.
Heat up the appliance for 30 minutes at level 3 us-
ing the Grill mode.
6.
Allow the appliance to cool down.
7.
Once the cooking compartment has cooled down,
clean the smooth surfaces with soapy water and a
dish cloth.

7.1 Activating the appliance

To exit standby mode, open or close the door, turn
the function selector or touch a control panel.

When "Standby screen" = "Off" is selected in the ba-
sic settings, turn the function selector to exit standby
mode.

If you do not make any settings for an extended
period after activation, the standby display is shown.

When the door is open, the interior lighting switches
off after a short time.

Note:
The fan can also continue to run when the door
is open. This is normal.

Microwave
You can use the microwave to cook, heat up, bake or
defrost food very quickly. The microwave can be used
on its own or in combination with a type of heating.
8.1 Microwave-safe cookware and
accessories
To heat food evenly and avoid damaging your appli-
ance, it is important to use the right cookware and ac-
cessories.
Note:
Read the manufacturer's instructions before us-
ing any cookware in the microwave. If in doubt, carry
out a cookware test.
