Security Instructions
Intended use
• Read all instructions before operating and only use the product as described in these instructions
to avoid accidental injury or damage.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen
areas in shops, offices and other working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels
and other resi-dential type environments, bed and breakfast type environments.
• Do not use outdoors.
• No use by children intended and not allowed at all. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experi-ence and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause
injuries.
• Misuse may cause potential injury.
Connection to power supply
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility
for examination, repair or adjustment.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• To disconnect, turn the rotary switch to position „0FF“, then remove plug from wall outlet.
Technical Safety
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or appliance itself in water or
other liquids.
• A fire may occur if the appliance is covered or touching flammable material including curtains,
draperies, walls and the like when in operation.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts,
involving a risk of electrical shock.
• Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other material other
than metal or glass.
• Do not store any materials other than manufacturers recommended accessories in this unit
when not in use.
• Do not place any of the following materials inside the unit: paper, cardboard, plastic and the like.
• Do not operate the appliance for longer than 2 minutes. After that the appliance needs to cool
down for not overheating.
• Care is needed when handling cutting blades, especially when removing the blade from the
bowl, empty-ing the bowl and during cleaning.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or appro-
aching parts that move in use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due
to a sudden steaming.
• Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may cause a fire
or risk of electrical shock.
• Ensure that the blender is switched off before removing it from the stand.
