6.10 R button:
the R button (also called FLASH) is
used to briefly interrupt the telephone
connection; this brief interruption is
used by some home or office switch -
boards for call forwarding; public
switchboards use this button for tele-
com functions, such call waiting.
For setting the duration of the interruption, see
paragraph 5, item ‘flash’.
The setting ‘100’ is most commonly used in the
Benelux. The setting 300 or 600 is often used by
company switchboards.
