That’s one way to set up a complex aerobat. What do we have now?
• Switch C in the up position has flap mixed into elevator for tight loops, sudden dives, etc.
• Switch C in the down position has airbrake which includes both flap servos and the flaperons (FPN).
• Switch C in center and H in up is “normal” flight.
• Switch H in the down position includes rudder-to-aileron (R-A) and rudder-to-elevator mixing for
smooth knife-edge and other rudder applications.
• Left slider movement lowers and raises center flaps without effect on the flaperons.
Want to try some other creative things with this type of an aircraft? Consider twin elevator servos,
using the ailevators (ALV) function to have them act in unison with the ailerons for increased roll
authority.
How about a pmix (PMX) from aileron to aux 1 and aux 2, creating full span ailerons? Want to get
really creative? Make this pmix (PMX) with the master mix mode UNMIXED....now the inboard
ailerons (flaps) will move based upon the full ATV setting of the aileron, regardless of your dual rate
(D/R) settings. What does this do? It gives full inboard aileron authority even in situations where you
can’t risk full throw at the tips due to risks of tip stalls, such as harriers, waterfalls, etc.
Want to give it a try? Let’s do it together. Set everything else as described above, but do not set up the
offset pmixes (PMX) for Aux1 and Aux2. The aileron-to-aux pmixes (PMX) here will accomplish a
slightly different task this time.

Use a rudder-to-elevator mix to mix
out undesired pitch coupling when
rudder is applied.
(You will need to set based upon the
performance of your model. For
example, +5% each way.)

Create a pmix (PMX) from aileron to Aux1,
100%, always active, trim follow, master mode
unmixed, linked into the aileron movement.
(This will move the first flap in conjunction with
the ailerons at all times. This is based upon the
aileron stick movement, not the high or low rate
aileron setting. Also, it will trim with the aileron
trims, and is active at all times.)
