Single-user, mobile use
Description of functions
The Home Compenser
®
amplifi es the mobile radio signal between the terminal and the
outdoor antenna, both in transmitter and also in receiver direction. This provides for the full
transmission power to the antenna, the full receiver power at the UMTS terminal.
The Home Compenser ® is suited for the bands GSM 900, GSM 1800 and UMTS [Band I]. It
supports the transmission modes GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA and HSUPA. The
connection to the terminals is effected via their external antenna connection [specifi c
adapter required for the device] or via suitable coupling structures.
The set of a Home Compenser
®
consists of a basic device, a set of RF cables [defi ned in
length], a plug-in power supply and a multiband mobile radio antenna.
The following connection possibilities are realised in the basic device:
• SMA-panel jack to connect a terminal via the RF cable [front panel)
• SMA-panel jack to connect an antenna [directly, or offset, rear panel)
• 2,1 mm barrel connector of the supply voltage
The required supply voltage [10 … 16 V, 1.6A] is provided by an enclosed, external plug-in
power supply.
