Optical focussing and zoom functions cannot be actuated by the camera, use your own control unit to do this, e.g.
SLR 520.
The camera is designed for CS-Mount lenses (the flange focal distance is 12.52 mm). C-Mount lenses require
adapter ring (10), Figure 2, the lens thread must not penetrate into the camera housing more than 5 mm
Lens connector
The lens shutter is controlled via a 4-pin plug-and-socket connection at the rear of the camera (Figure 1 (4). Table
2 shows the connector pin assignment.
The camera is supplied with a 4-pin lens connector that fits on the lens cable.
Many lens manufacturers supply lenses with connectors already fitted.
Check the connector pin assignment.
Setting the flange focal distance, Figure 2
Screw a CS-Mount lens directly into lens mount (9) - use supplied adapter ring (10) in case of C-Mount lenses.
Loosen locking screw (8) and set the flange focal by rotating lens mount (9). Having made the adjustment, use the
locking screw to secure the lens mount.
The precise procedure for setting the flange focal distance and other important information about lenses can be
found on the supplied CD-ROM.
External synchronisation
The FAC 960 can be synchronised by an external network signal (Linelock)
Important: Use Config Tool to perform phase adjustment in case of external synchronisation. The Help menu
contains relevant adjustment instructions.
Power supply units

Desktop power supply unit SN 858I: This power supply unit is already equipped with a suitable D-Sub
connector (see Table 1)

Other commercially available power supply units that cover the FAC 960‘s operating voltage and power
consumption range; a 15-pin D-Sub socket (see Table 1) is required to connect such PSUs.
