9.3 Room acoustics
This is often mitigated by carpet, curtains and soft furnishings in general. Sound treatment is usually based on
absorbent materials such as curtains or dedicated sound panels. Although often overlooked treating the ceiling
between the loudspeakers and the listener can have more benefit than treating any other surface.
