2-7-4 Recommended Separation Distance between Portable/Mobile RF Communications
Equipment and the FX-8322/FX-8322R
This equipment is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment where RF emission interference is controlled.
The electromagnetic interference can be prevented during operation by controlling the minimum distance between the
portable/mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and this equipment shown below (recommended values
based on the maximum output power of the transmitter).

For transmitters rated at the maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation
distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the formula applicable to the frequency of the
transmitter. P in the formula is the maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W)
according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1: The separation distance for higher frequency range applies to 80 MHz and 800 MHz
respectively.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply to all situations.
Electromagnetic propagation is affected by reflection and absorption from buildings, objects,
and people.
2-7-5 Interference by Electric Cautery
The FX-8322/FX-8322R is protected against the operation failure caused by the use in combination with the electric
cautery specified below.

Incision mode
Output power: 300 W Output power: 300 W
While the electric cautery is generating RF
energy, the noise level of the waveform
displayed/recorded in the FX-8322/FX-8322R
increases. The original level is restored in 10
seconds after the generation of RF energy is
stopped.
Coagulation mode
Output power: 100 W Output power: 100 W
If waveforms during the period including
generation of RF energy are analyzed, effective
examination result may not be obtained.
