1 Introduction
The PRIMERGY SX980 S1 / SX980 S2 storage blade is used as a storage
subsystem for the PRIMERGY BX400 S1 and BX900 S1 / BX900 S2 system
unit.
The storage blade comes with 10 bays for 2.5-inch SAS HDD/SSD modules and
occupies two bays in the system unit. Up to three SX980 S1 / SX980 S2 storage
blades can be installed per BX400 S1 system unit. Up to six SX980 S1 /
SX980 S2 storage blades can be installed per BX900 S1 / BX900 S2 system
unit.
1.1 Concept and target groups
This Service Supplement completes the information given in the Operating
Manual.
The activities described in this manual may only be performed by service
personnel.
