Replacement routines
4.2 Replacing the complete storage blade
You have to change the remaining parts as a whole unit. The cabling in the
spare part "SX980 S1 / SX980 S2 storage blade complete with cables" is
already installed.
Ê
Exit all applications and shut down the related server blade correctly.
Ê
Make a note of the positions of the individual HDD/SSDs in the storage
blade for reinstallation.
Ê
Only for the japanese market:
Remove the storage blade as described in section "Removing the storage
blade from the system unit" on page 17 .
Use the cover from the defective storage blade.

It is necessary to copy the model name and the serial number
described in the label that exists in the ID card. Please use a new
label.

Insert the new storage blade in the system unit.

You insert the storage blade in the opposite order to that described in
"Removing the storage blade from the system unit" on page 17 .
