1. Check Package Contents
Before starting to use the header board, check that all of the following items are present.

*1 : Referred to below as the “header board”.
The header board is equipped with a YQPACK176SD-4W (Tokyo Eletech Corporation, re-
ferred to below as the “YQPACK”).
*2 : IC socket (Tokyo Eletech Corporation, referred to below as the "NQPACK"). Includes a ded-
icated screwdriver and three guide pins. You are able to use the highly reliable
NQPACK176SD-SL adapter socket (Tokyo Eletech Corporation, sold separately) by provid-
ing screw holes for mounting the IC socket on the printed circuit board of the user system. Con-
tact Tokyo Eletech for details.
*3 : IC socket cover (Tokyo Eletech Corporation, referred to below as the “HQPACK”). Includes
four screws (M2

6mm, 0.4mm pitch) for attaching the HQPACK.
This product functions as an adapter unit when combined with an adapter board (available separate-
ly). Furthermore, the product functions as part of an emulator system when used with an emulator.
Contact a sales or support representative for details on the emulators and adapter boards that are com-
patible with this product.
2. Handling Precautions
The adapter unit is precision-manufactured to improve dimensional accuracy and to ensure reliable
contact. The adapter unit is therefore sensitive to mechanical shock. To ensure correct use of the
adapter unit in the proper environment, observe the following points regarding its insertion and re-
moval:

Avoid placing stress on the NQPACK mounted on the user system while the adapter unit is
connected.
