Working with the notebook

SIM card

A SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile phone or
notebook and, together with an integrated UMTS/LTE module, enables access to a mobile network.

When handling SIM cards, follow the instructions supplied by the provider.

Inserting the SIM card

Prepare for installation of the SIM card, see chapter

"Preparing to remove components", Page 83

Slide the SIM card into the slot (1)
until it is felt to engage, as shown in
the battery compartment.

Complete the installation, see chapter

"Finishing component removal", Page 89

Press on the edge of the SIM card so that
it jumps up slightly out of the slot.

Pull the SIM card out of the slot in the
direction of the arrow (1).
