C A U T I O N

Never remove screws except the ones
specifically shown in the directions for
installing and removing the memory
upgrade module.

MEMORY UPGRADE MODULE

Your notebook has 32MB of installed SDRAM.
To increase your memory capacity you may
install a memory upgrade module in the mem-
ory upgrade compartment in the bottom of
your notebook. The memory upgrade module
is a dual-in-line memory module (DIMM). You
may add modules of different capacity. SDRAM
modules are recommended but EDO modules
will work. Installing an EDO module will cause
your system to operate at a slower rate.

5. Insert the connector of the external floppy

disk drive firmly into the port on your note-
book until it clicks.

To disconnect an external floppy disk drive:

1. Close all files and exit all applications 

2. Turn off power to your notebook, close the

display and remove the AC adapter.
(See pages 24-25 for more information.)

3. Squeeze together firmly on the release but-

tons on either side of the external floppy disk
drive connector next to the body of your
notebook. (Figure 4-11.)

4. Pull the connector free.
5. Close the floppy disk drive port cover on

your notebook by tilting up and pressing
until it latches.
