While pulling the ADF lever toward you, lift up the ADF upper sheet guide.

Remove the jammed document.

4.

Lower the ADF upper sheet guide carefully.

5.

Lift the Upper transport unit to release the safety lock, then lower the unit
carefully and push the unit to close it completely.

ATTENTION

- Staples and paper clips etc. can cause document jams.
- Make sure you check the document and the document transport path for
obstructions before you start scanning again.
- Remove staples and paper clips from the documents before you start scan-
ning.
