Removing and installing components during servicing

Inserting and removing the hard disk (HDD)
and M.2 module

In the hard drive service tray is a slot for a standard hard drive (HDD) and a slot for an M.2 module.

Removing a cover

Remove the cover of the memory service compartment; see

"Removing a cover", Page 65

.

► Remove the screws (1).

Keep the screws in a safe place. If you are removing more than one component at
the same time, store the screws for the individual components separately from each
other. If you install the wrong screws, components may be damaged.

The screws are not all the same length and when the cover is installed,
the correct screws must be used.

► Lift the cover off the notebook (2).
