Memory

Fitting rules

If you have a quad-socket configuration:

–

Start with DIMM 1+2 followed by DIMM 5+6 in the master module, then 
DIMM 1+2 followed by DIMM 5+6 in the slave module. 

Install additional DIMMs in DIMM 3+4 followed by DIMM 7+8 in the 
master module, followed by DIMM 3+4 and DIMM 7+8 in the slave 
module.

●

If you install memory modules for a CPU which have different memory 
capacities, you must first install the modules with the lower memory capacity.
