5.4Carriage Related Adjustment

When the platen gap is within standard, go to

of standard, go to

Loosen the two screws of the left parallel adjust bushings, Move the two left
parallel adjust bushings until the gap falls within the standard range.

Remove the thickness gauge.

Move the CR Unit to the home side.

Set the thickness gauge to the position as shown

Move the CR Timing Belt and slowly move the CR Unit to over the thickness
gauge.

The platen gap became widen.

The platen gap became narrower.

C A U T I O N

When moving the CR Unit, Do not press the Self Sealing Valve.

C A U T I O N

If the CR Unit touches the thickness gauge, do not move the CR Unit
forcibly. Also, do not press the CR Unit onto the thickness gauge.
Otherwise the Print Head may be damaged and have to be replaced with a
new one.
