4. Connection and Operating mode
Подсоединение и отключение
- Connect the clamps (”+” red, “-” black) to “+” and “-” battery terminals, making sure you get a good
electric contact, respecting the following order:
1. Connect first the battery terminal not connected to the chassis of the vehicle.
2. Then connect the other connection to the chassis remote from the battery and any fuel
line.
- For SMART 100/12, check that the power indicator (green) lights.
- For SMART 180/12, turn the device on, and check that the switch lights on.
3. At last, plug in your charger to 220 V 50 Hz mains supply.
- After charging, disconnected the battery charger from mains supply. Then remove the chassis
connection and the battery connection, in this order.

3. Descriptionе
The chargers SMART 100/12, SMART 180/12 are designed to charge lead acid batteries with liquid
or gel electrolyte, nominal voltage from 6V or 12V, and with capacity according to the following table:

Your machine has been designed with a maximum of protections:
- The charge clamps are fully isolated.
- The polarity reversal and the short circuits do not cause any danger. A double fuse ensures the
protection. The replacement needs to be done manually.
- The protection against the transformer overloads or starting on the charge position is ensured
by a circuit breaker on the front panel of the machine.
- If it trips, a manual reactivation is needed.
- Thermal protection: your machine is protected by a thermostat (cooling about 1/4h). A red
indicator lights in case of overheating.
