Measuring Flame Current
When the burner flame is properly adjusted, it will produce a current between 2.5
μ
A and 3.5
μ
A.
Flame current is measured by placing a microamp (not milliamp) meter in series with the white sens-
ing wire on one of the ignitors. This is accomplished as follows:
1.
Place the power switch in the
OFF
position.
2.
Disconnect the sensing wire from one of the burner ignitors and connect it to the positive lead of
the meter. Connect the negative lead of the meter to the terminal from which the sensing wire
was removed.
3.
Place the power switch in the
ON
position to light the burners. After the cookpot temperature
reaches 190
0
F (88
0
C), wait at least one minute before checking the reading.
NOTE:
The closer
the unit is to normal operation temperature, the more accurate the reading will be.

Simmer Mode Adjustment
NOTE:
The simmer temperature is adjustable from 130
°
F to 205
°
F (54
°
C to 96
°
C) using the
thermostat dial. It is set to 190
0
F (88
0
C) at the factory. It is recommended to keep it set to 190
0
F
(88
0
C) for proper performance.
