Select “Set Up a Wireless Ad-hoc Network (Computer-to-
Computer)” and click “Next”.

Follow the wizard’s instructions. The wizard takes you 
step by step through the configuration of the ad hoc net-
work.

Setting Up an Ad Hoc Network in Windows XP

1.

Click the “Start” button and select “My Network Places”.

If “My Network Places” is not available, open “My Com-
puter” and click “My Network Places” under “Other Plac-
es”.

Click with the right mouse button in the free area in the 
“My Network Places” window. Select “Properties” from 
the context menu.
