Using a FRITZ!Box Password
Configuring a Password
Here is how to set up a new FRITZ!Box password:
1.
Open the FRITZ!Box user interface; see
.
2.
Select “System / FRITZ!Box Users / Login to Home Net-
work”.
3.
Select the option “Login with the FRITZ!Box password”.
4.
Enter a password.
For more information on the characters you can use for
the password, see the Help on the FRITZ!Box user inter-
face.
5.
Click “Apply”.
You will be directed to the welcome screen of your
FRITZ!Box.
6.
Enter your user name to log in to the user interface of
your FRITZ!Box.
Quick Access: Logging off and Changing the Password
If you are logged in with the FRITZ!Box password, the upper
navigation bar of the user interface will display the entry
“Logged in”.
Here you can change the FRITZ!Box password and log off the
user interface. Log off before you surf the web with your
browser. If you do not click on the user interface for a period of
longer than 60 minutes, you will be logged off automatically.
With the FRITZ!Box password it is not possible to access the
FRITZ!Box from the Internet. For users who require access to
the FRITZ!Box via Internet, you must also set up an account
as a FRITZ!Box user; see
