Only use the appliance on the mains voltage as indicated on the identification label.
2.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packaging and stickers and keep packaging away from children.
•
First check your appliances for possible damages. If it is damaged, do NOT use the appliance but
bring it back to your sales point.
•
Clean the plates as described under
‘Cleaning’
(4) before the first use.
•
Check if the mains voltage of your appliance (230 Volt) corresponds with the mains voltage in
your home.
•
The appliance is now ready for use.
•
ATTENTION
: Upon the first use, there might be a slight odour or smoke output. This is normal.
3.
OPERATION OF THE APPLIANCE
a)
Completely unroll the power cord and plug in the appliance in a 230 V socket. The appliance
must be in closed position.
b)
Then turn the thermostat knob onto the chosen position. As soon as you have chosen a
thermostat position the red control lamp lights up.
ATTENTION
: the appliance will now get hot. Only touch the thermostat knob and the
handles.
c)
The red control lamp will turn off as soon as the chosen thermostat position (chosen
temperature) has been reached.
d)
Open the appliance. For your convenience the appliance remains in open position at 105°
(upright system). Rub the plates in with some oil (only with every first baking)
e)
You can now add the toast, the waffle dough ... Do not use sharp utensils as they could
damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
f)
Close the appliance.
g)
After baking, open the appliance and remove the waffle or sandwich immediately.
h)
When you are finished baking, turn the thermostat knob completely to the left to the 0-
position.
i)
Unplug the appliance.
Tips for baking waffles
•
ALWAYS
follow the recipe correctly or use a baking mix.
•
ALWAYS
use high quality flower and make sure the dough is well beaten.
•
Wait for the red control lamp turns off before adding the paste to the appliance (only for the first
waffle).
•
Remove the waffle with a special U-shaped fork. Insert the fork horizontally into the waffle in
order not to damage the non-stick coating or the waffle. See point 6 « Accessory »: waffle fork
WF 1000.
