Warm Heat Setting
The 'WARM' heat setting allows for food to be cooked from frozen. Food cooked using this
setting is typically ready to be served after approximately 8-10 hours.
When set to the 'WARM' heat setting, the Triple Slow Cooker will first cook on the 'HIGH' heat
setting until the food defrosts and reaches a preset temperature. It will then automatically switch to
the 'LOW' heat setting, where it will maintain a constant low heat temperature for the remainder of
the cooking time.
Adjusting the Amount of Liquid during Cooking
When cooking food in the Triple Slow Cooker, very little moisture has a chance to boil away. It is
advisable to halve the liquid content of traditional recipes to compensate for this. However, if after
cooking the liquid content is still excessive, remove the tempered glass lids and operate the Triple
Slow Cooker on the 'high' heat setting for approximately 30-45 minutes or until the liquid reduces
by the required amount.
Hints and Tips
• Do not remove the tempered glass lids frequently, as this will result in heat loss to the removable
cooking pots.
• Trim all visible fat from meat or poultry before cooking.
• Cut root vegetables into small, even pieces, as they will usually take longer to cook than meat.
Vegetables should be gently sautéed for approximately 2-3 minutes before slow cooking. Always
ensure that root vegetables are placed at the bottom of the removable cooking pots and that all of
the ingredients are immersed in the cooking liquid. Uncooked red beans must be soaked and
boiled for at least 10 minutes to remove toxins before being cooked in the Triple Slow Cooker.
Dos and Don’ts
Do: Cut root vegetables into small, even pieces before adding to the removable cooking pots.
Do: Wear heat-resistant oven gloves when handling the tempered glass lids, as they will get very
hot during use.
Don't: Use the removable cooking pots if they are chipped or cracked.
Don't: Subject the removable cooking pots to sudden changes in temperature; adding cold water to
a very hot pan could cause it to crack.
Don't: Put the removable cooking pots or tempered glass lids in an oven, freezer microwave or on
a gas or electric hob.
Don't: Use the Triple Slow Cooker to reheat food.
Don't: Operate the Triple Slow Cooker without the removable cooking pots and tempered glass
lids in place.
Don't: Place food, water or other liquid directly into the recesses in the Triple Slow Cooker main
unit.
Care and Maintenance
• Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, ensure that the Triple Slow Cooker is unplugged
from the mains power supply and has fully cooled.
• Wipe the Triple Slow Cooker main unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Wash the removable cooking pots and tempered glass lids in warm, soapy water, then rinse and
dry thoroughly.
