Application area
The Frico Thermozone AC 200XL air curtains are
intended for permanent installation above
entrance and smaller doors upto 3 metres. The
efficiency of the curtains is depending on the
size of load on the door in question. The
Thermozone AC 200XL is supplied with or
without heating element and is mounted above
the entrance in question. The unit can also be
installed in false ceilings. In order to obtain the
best efficiency, the air curtains shall cover the
whole width of the opening.
Operation
The air is drawn in from the front of the unit and
is blown out downwards so that it screens the
door opening and minimises any heat leakage
through it. The air speed is adjusted in two
stages using the speed selector and an eventual
power in two stages.
NOTE! If there is a negative pressure in the
building the efficiency of the air curtain is
reduced considerably. The ventilation should be
balanced!
Assembly
The units may only be installed horizontally with a
downward output air direction. Several units can
be mounted beside each other when wide door
openings occur. The units can be mounted as
close to the ceiling as possible. Regarding other
dimensions and minimum assembly distances, pls
see fig. on page 2.
a)
Fitted on the wall or beam
The Thermozone is to be suspended on the
four keyhole slots on the rear of the unit.
Suitable bolts can be M6S or M6. NOTE! The
unit must be secured using the supplied
locking strip if fitted using the keyhole slots.
The brackets can be fitted either facing
upwards or downwards,
see the detailed fig.
The Thermozone can be bolted direct to the
wall/beam. For this application, there are 8 M6
bolts on the rear of the unit, see fig. 3.
b) Suspended using drop rods
For pendulum fixing there are 8 M6 bolts on
the top of the unit with paired c/c distance of
100 mm, see fig. 2. Brackets for pendulum
fixing are available as accessories.

On the upperside of the unit there are knock-outs,
2 pcs ø 29 and 4 pcs dia 23. The cable glands
used must guarantee the protection class
requirements! For the units with electrical heating,
the power and voltage should be supplied in
different connection areas.
NOTE! The heating power voltage is to be
connected in two different places, in the middle
and to the right (see wiring diagram). In the
groupcentral there is to be indicated that
”the air
curtains shall be supplied from more than one
groupwire”.
Security
Ensure that the area around the intake and
exhaust grille is kept free from material which
could prevent the air flow through the unit! During
operation the surfaces of the unit are hot!
Overheating
The Thermozone is equipped with two overheat
protectors, one for each motor. If one is released
due to overheating, reset as follows:
a) Disconnect the electricity with the fully
isolated switch
b) Investigate the matter and repair the fault
c) Reset by pressing the red button by the
motor which has stopped, until a sound click
is heard
d) Connect the Thermozone again.

Electrical installation
The installation, which should be proceeded by a
fully isolating switch with a contact gap of at
least 3 mm, should be carried out by a qualified
technician and in accordance with applicable
directives. The front plate is to be dismounted to
reach the connection area. See the wiring
diagram for connection. The connection shall be
made with a cable type EKK, EKLK or similar.
