Download the Upgrade File
Note : The images in this procedure are for Windows® 7 and/or Firefox®.
The dialog boxes and windows appear differently on each computer.
1. Click http://support.freewave.com/ .
The Login window opens.
Important! : Registration is required to use this login.

2. Enter the User Name and Password .
3. Click the Login button.
The Help Topics window opens.

4. Click Firmware .
The Firmware window opens.

5. Scroll to and click the WP201 Firmware link.
The available firmware appears in the window.

6. Click the firmware link.
The
Firmware Upgrade window opens.
7. Select and click the attachment.

The Opening dialog box opens.
Note : This procedure shows Firefox® dialog boxes. Other browsers will
have different dialog boxes and procedures.

8. Click OK .
The Enter name of file to save to dialog box opens.

9. Search for and select a location to save the .zip file to and click Save .
The Enter name of file to save to dialog box closes.
10. Open a Windows® Explorer window and find the location where the .zip file
was saved.
11. Double-click the .zip file.
12. Extract the .BIN file from the .zip file into the parent location.
Note : The .BIN file is used in the upgrade process.
Install the Upgrade File
Important! : Do NOT turn off the WP201-100 in the middle of upgrade
process. Terminating the WP201-100 during the upgrade process will
damage the device and may cause the device to fail.
1. In the Access Panel on the left, click Firmware .
The Firmware window opens.

2. Click the Browse button.
3. Locate and select the upgrade .BIN file downloaded from the FreeWave
website.
4. Click Open .
The selected file is shown in the window.

5. Click the Upload button to start the WP201-100 upgrade process.
An Upgrade confirmation window opens.
