REPLACING THE WALKING PLATFORM AND THE
WALKING BELT
Inspect the walking platform periodically for wear. If
there is any wood showing through the phenolic coat-
ing, or if the surface is damaged, the walking platform
should be turned over or replaced. In addition, inspect
the walking belt for wear. If the walking belt is cracking,
tearing, or folding, it should be replaced. Follow the
instructions below to turn over or replace the walking
platform and/or to replace the walking belt.
As you
remove screws, make sure to note which screws
you remove from each part.
1.
Remove the key and unplug the power cord.
Remove the five M5 x 15mm Screws (24), and lift
off the Motor Hood (79).
2.
Remove the two M5 x 15mm Screws (24), Next,
remove the two M10 x 80mm Screws (28) and M10
Lock Washers (36). Then, remove the Right and
Left Frame Caps (74, 75).

Loosen the eight M8 x 115mm Screws (18), on the
underside of the Frame (58), enough to slide off the
Foot Rails (48).
4.
Remove the four M8 x 40mm Flat Head Screws
(14) and the six M8 x 40mm Screws (13). Next,
remove the M10 Roller Locknut (41), the M10 x
100mm Bolt (21), the M10 Star Washer (34), the
M10 Washer (29), and the M10 Nut (40) from the
Drive Roller (55).
Next, remove the Drive Belt (56) from the Drive
Roller (55).
If you are turning over or replacing
the Walking Platform (52), go to step 5.
If you are replacing only the Walking Belt
(53),
remove the old Walking Belt and discard it.
Next, slide the new Walking Belt onto the Walking
Platform (52).
Then, go to step 6.
