QUICK GUIDE
Power on:
Press ON to power on the instrument.

Description
The GM tube
The Geiger tube is provided with a cap to protect
the sensible window. When working with gamma
radiation, the cap may remain in place. Remove
the cap when alpha or beta radiation is involved.
NOTE:
Although the GM tube itself is protected by
a plastic housing, the tube itself is relatively fragile
in its construction. Particular attention should be
paid to the radiation stop of the sensor when the
cap is removed in connection with Alpha and Beta
measurements. Therefore, do not drop or squeeze
the instrument or touch / strike the radiation
peak.
If the accident is out as described above, the pipe
will typically crack. However, it is possible to have
the tube replaced - A service assignment we can
offer at an agreed price.
Time
The counting period 1 s is achieved by selecting
CPS
(counts per second). All other periods,
including infinity is obtained with the
Pulse
setting, When the instrument has been turned off,
the measurement period for
Pulse
is 10 s.
