UNIVERSAL PLATE MOUNTING
Your NOVA umbrella comes with a hinged spigot. Once you have installed the spigot according to
the instructions below, slide the umbrella on to the top of the spigot and raise the umbrella. This
is recommended as a 2-3 person operation.
Once you have decided on the location of the NOVA umbrella, make sure you have an area of at
least 48”-50” in diameter for the base to rest, then place NGU-550 into position. You will need
to locate the bolt pattern that matches the spigot on the already mounted universal plate. The
bolt pattern for the spigot will be directly adjacent to already secured holes. (This pattern can be
identified on the below drawing)

NOTE
: Your NGU-550 is shipped fully weighted at 550 lbs. It is best to determine the
position of the base initially before installing your NOVA umbrella.
Your NGU-550 Comes already filled and assembled. You must remove the spigot from
the NOVA
mast and bolt to the universal plate using the supplied hardware.
From here, you are ready to mount and enjoy your NOVA Giant Telescoping Umbrella.
