3.6 Switching off the coffee machine
1. The coffee machine is switched off by pressing the E.S.M. key for about 2 seconds. The
display
illumination goes out and the display shows
E.S.M.

- With appropriate programming, the unit switches automatically to the E.S.M. mode after a
certain time.
- If the coffee machine is not used for a long period, it must be disconnected from the power
supply and the water supply must be closed.
- If the On/Off function is programmed with the Adjust Card (customer-specific), the Adjust
Card
must be inserted and the E.M.S. key pressed for about 2 seconds.
3.7 Display elements
Two characters are additionally shown on the display.
3.7.1 Heating (*)
The boiler heater is switched on from time to time to ensure that the set water temperature is always
reached in the operating mode. This is represented by an asterisk on the display.

With automatic water feed, the display shows a special character (>).
