APPENDIX: FAULTS REPORTED VIA OUTPUT K1
For sizes 4000 / 6000 / 8000 / 10,000 / 120,000 and 16,000 only.
Output K1 enables motor fault reports. Depending on the fault, the output K1 relay will be opened or
closed.
There is an LED on the ECM motor cover. Depending on the fault, a different flashing sequence will be
visible. Refer to the table below for fault identification.
LED K1 relay
Fault

OFF Open
Mains outage
Mains voltage available?

Active temperature management
To protect the device from damage
resulting from excessive internal
temperatures, the device has
an active temperature
management
feature. If the temperature
exceeds a set limit value,
modulation undergoes a linear
reduction.
To prevent complete external
shutdown of the installation in case
of reduced operation due to
excessive internal temperature (for
this operation authorised for the
controller),
there is no fault message via the
relay.
If the temperature falls, the
modulation undergoes a linear increase.

X3 Closed
HALL-IC
Incorrect signal from Hall
integrated
circuits, switching fault.
Internal plug-in connector faulty.
The EC controller switches off and does
not
restart. Reset required, by powering off
the mains.
