2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The optical transmitter (OPT-TX54) and the optical receiver (OPT-RX54) for the distribution of satellite and terrestrial signals 
through a single cable of mono-modal fibre optics. The signals of the four satellite polarizations and the terrestrial signal are 
transmitted.  This solution allows one to distribute the TV (COFDM) signals and the IF satellite band onto four mono-modal 
fiber-optic cables.

1. ON LED LIGHT: the LED shows that the 
OPT-TX54 optical transmitter is ON.
2. ALARM LED: the alarm LED shows that the 
transmission laser is not working properly.
3. SAT IN: the IF input connectors of the 4 
satellite polarizations (950 ÷ 2200MHz).
4. TERR (TV IN): F input connector of the TV 
signal (47 ÷ 862MHz).
5. OUT (SAT-TV OPTICAL LINK): SC-APC 
output connector of the optical transmitter. 
Used for the link with fibre optics of the signals 
of the satellite polarizations and TV signals.

1. ALARM LED: alarm LED, which indicates 
that the input optical power is too low.
2. IN (SAT-TV OPTICAL LINK): SC-APC input 
connector of the optical receiver. Used for the 
link with fibre optics of the satellite polarization 
signals and TV signals.
3. SAT OUT: F output connectors of the 4 
satellite polarizations (950 ÷ 2200MHz)
4. TERR (TV OUT): F output connector of the 
TV signal (47 ÷ 862MHz).
5. GROUNDING SCREW

3. PRODUCT INSTALLATION

Both the (OPT-TX54) transmitter and the (OPT- RX54) receiver can be fixed to the wall with the proper plastic supports.
We recommend to connect all the input and output cables before powering the modules in order to avoid damaging the 
transmitter laser or the receiver photodiodes.
The optical transmitter (OPT-TX54) must be connected to the 230 VAC power supply network.
The optical receiver (OPT- RX54) must be remotely powered by one of the four satellite inputs (maximum absorption of the 
receiver: 240mA @ 14V).
