Changing the oil in the side-mounted transmission
After every 500 hours of operation, remove the transmission housing cover and clean it
thoroughly. First, loosen all screws securing the housing cover to its back plate. This also enables to
discharge the oil from the housing that does not have a separate oil discharge opening. Remove the
housing cover carefully, making sure not to damage the gasket. Wash the housing thoroughly with
petroleum. Wash the chain and the sprocket thoroughly as well. After performing these operations,
replace the cover onto its back plate, making sure to keep the dust and contamination from entering the
housing. For easy replacement of the gasket, grease it when securing the cover. Refill the housing with
0.8 litres of oil through the refill opening (see Fig. 12, opening A) until the oil level reaches the gauge
(see Fig. 12, opening B).

(dipstick)
First, unscrew the plug (Fig. 13, pos. A) used for refilling and
discharging the oil, enabling the oil to discharge from the
reduction gear casing. The easiest way to discharge the oil is
immediately after finishing work when the oil is still warm and
the sediment has not yet settled. Before replacing the plug, refill
the casing with 0.4 litres of oil.
