Chapter 2     Installation Instructions

Expansion Slots

This motherboard includes one 32-bit master PCI bus slot, one PCI Express x4

slot,one PCI Express x16slot and one F.E.S.slot.

PCI Slot

The expansion cards can be installed in the one PCI slot. When you install or take

out such cards, you must make sure that the power plug has been pulled out.

Please read carefully the instructions provided for such cards, and install and set

the necessary hardware and software for such cards, such as the jumper or BIOS

setup.

PCI Express x4 Slot

The motherboard invludes one PCI Express x4 slot ,which is designed for mode-

m or TV card. The bandwidth is 250MB/sec (500MB/sec) actually.

PCI Express x16 Slot

This board also provides a PCI Express x16 slot , whose bandeidth is 4GB/sec

(8GB/sec concurrent),and is reserved for graphic/video cards.

F.E.S.Slot

F.E.S.(Foxconn Expansion Slot) slot is a special design that provides the legacy

ports interface,such as PS/2 Mouse,Keyboard,Serial Device,Parallel Device and

so on.

Warning :

F.E.S.slot is  different  from PCI  Express x1  slot,so  you  can  not

insert the PCI Express x1 card into F.E.S. slot. Since errored  in-

sert  will damage your motherboard, you had better read the manual

and take correct way . The damages caused by this is not in our

services.
