RECEIVER LOW BATTERY
WARNING
When the receiver battery voltage drops below
a pre-set level, the low battery warning will be
triggered, which consists of each of the four
LEDs illuminating briefly, one after the other.
This is repeated at intervals of approximately
10 seconds.
This warning will mostly commonly occur after
receiving a transmission from a bite indicator,
as this is when the demand on the receiver
battery is at its highest. Although the receiver
will continue to operate for a limited period
after the low battery warning has been given,
performance may be affected and range may
be reduced. It is recommended, therefore,
that the battery be replaced as soon as
possible after a low battery warning has been
seen.
· It is possible to extend the life of the receiver
battery, after a low battery warning, by
reducing the volume setting.
· Low battery warning can usually be cancelled
by switching the receiver off and then on
again. If the warning still persists, then the
battery is very low and correct operation of the
unit, other than at very short range, is unlikely.
ON/OFF SWITCH
A two position switch to activate/deactivate the
receiver. When the receiver is first switched on,
each of the LEDs will illuminate briefly in turn.
