2 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The machine is compatible with FOUNTAIN cartridges only. If the machine is used in any
way other than for its intended purpose then this shall be considered as improper use and
the manufacturer shall disclaim all liability for any damage caused to the machine or to
property or for any injury to persons.
The drink is dispensed at a very high temperature (90°C). The machine should only be
used by adults. Keep the machine away from children. This machine is not intended to be
used by anyone with impaired physical, sensorial or intellectual abilities, or by anyone who
has insufficient experience of using the machine or who is unfamiliar with it unless they are
supervised or until they have received instruction in how to use the machine from someone
responsible for their safety.
If any anomalies are apparent after carefully unpacking the machine, or if you have any
doubts about the physical integrity of the machine, then contact your approved dealer
immediately and do not use the machine. Do not use the equipment if the power lead, plug,
socket or the machine itself is damaged. If the power lead is damaged it must be replaced
by your Fountain dealer, by an Approved Service Centre or by a qualified technician in
order to maintain the warranty and to avoid any accident.
To ensure the correct operation of the machine: install it on a stable, horizontal surface and
check that the electrical supply voltage is same as the voltage indicated on the rear of the
machine or in this manual.
Do not introduce or insert any foreign objects into the machine when it is in operation or
connected to an electrical supply. Never disassemble the machine.
The machine has been designed to heat water only. Do not use it to heat up soup, food in
jars, bottles or tins, or any other liquid. Do not clean the machine with a jet or spray of
water, and do not operate it with wet hands.
Never fill the machine to above the maximum level indicator. Do not immerse the machine
in water or in any other liquid under any circumstances.
Do not clean the machine with water while it is connected to an electrical supply. Clean the
machine with lukewarm water and a soft cloth; do not use solvents or abrasive products.
The machine is not designed for outdoor use; use the machine in a domestic environment,
protected from the weather (sunshine, rain, wind, etc.) and at a temperature of between
+5°C (41°F) and +40°C (104°F).
