EASY CRIB INSPECTION STEPS TO ENSURE CHILDREN’S SAFETY
Proper crib maintenance is a necessar y action on the par t of child care provider s to ensure cribs they
are using with their infants are safe and secure. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
recommends performing crib safety checks on a regular basis. Fur thermore, the CPSC recommends taking a
crib out of ser vice if any problems are found during the safety check. This checklist is provided to assist the
caregiver in inspecting and proper ly maintaining their cribs.
