4. Safety Matters

1. DO NOT use the outboard motor in enclosed spaces.
2. Keep the hands and feet away from any moving or rotating parts.
3. DO NOT use in the vicinity of an open flame, any source of ignition or other fuel storage 
tanks.
4. DO NOT refuel indoors or in any confined spaces.

5. DO NOT open the fuel tank and/or refuel when outboard motor running or while at a high 
temperature. (Outboard motor should be cooled for 2 mins before refueling) 

6. DO NOT allow fuel to overflow and check for leakage before starting outboard motor. 
(Repair fuel leak before using the outboard motor).

7. DO NOT use the stop choke method to stop the engine.

8. DO NOT hit the flywheel with a hammer or a hard object to avoid fragmentation in  the 
rotation.

9. DO NOT operate the outboard motor at high speed in the case of light loading of the 
vessel. 
10. DO NOT run engine without muffler installed. Regularly inspect the muffler  to ensure 
it is operating properly. If not, replace the muffler.
11.DO NOT rapidly accelerate or make a high speed emergency stop. Non-factory 
personnel should not adjust the carburetor.
12. DO NOT operate the outboard motor if the muffler has piled up debris or other 
flammable materials  near exhaust.
13. DO NOT touch the muffler and cylinder cooling fins to avoid burns when working.
14. DO NOT OPERATE without air filter cover or an air filter.

15. Check that the vessel engine capacity matches the outboard motor.
16. In order to prevent accidents when repairing the outboard motor, please remove the 
spark plug and  ground wire.
17. Please use clean gasoline to prevent carburetor blockage or hard starting. 
18. Please check the oil pipe for damage and leaks and replace, if needed. 
19. Please use only FORZA spare parts, or else the outboard motor may get damaged.
