Use hazard lights. Attempt to park
in a safe position.
Use an emergency phone rather
than a mobile as emergency
services will then know the location
of the vehicle.
Never use a child seat in a front
passenger seat which is fitted with
an active airbag (SRS). Follow all
fitting instructions carefully.

When parked, the handbrake should be fully
applied with the vehicle left in first or reverse
gear for vehicles equipped with manual
transmission or P (Park) for vehicles with
automatic transmission.

Key / remote control operated central double locking. Depress the door locking knobs to lock the doors from the inside.
Auto re-locking.
Remote anti-theft alarm. Passive arming of electronic engine immobiliser after removal of the key from the starter switch.
Visible VIN plate. Some vehicles may be fitted with an alarm.
Centrally locked. Fitted with 1 or 2 sliding panel side doors, with twin opening rear doors. Loading floor is fitted with fixed
tie-down eyes to help secure loads. The load-through bulk head can help accommodate long length objects.
Internal manual adjustment via levers on the front doors. OR electric internal adjustment operated via a control knob on the
driver’s door.
Electric front operated via control buttons on the driver’s door.
Ensure gear selector is in neutral (or N or P if automatic) and handbrake is on. Place ignition key in starter switch. Use a
normal starting routine. Select desired gear. Release handbrake and brake pedal and gently press the accelerator to
move the vehicle (some models may feature a keyless engine start/stop button - just keep the key in your pocket or
bag, and press the button to start or stop the engine). Vehicles feature auto start-stop technology, whereby the engine
automatically shuts off when in gears are in neutral, foot pedals are not depressed and the vehicle is not moving. To re-start
just depress the clutch or accelerator.
Centrally locked. Located at rear offside of vehicle. Lift the flap and insert the fuel pump nozzle, the capless refuelling system
will differentiate between petrol and diesel fuel pump nozzles.
Rotate the blue oval badge on the bonnet to insert key to unlock and open the bonnet. Unhook catch under bonnet.
Vehicles are not normally supplied with a spare wheel or tyre inflation kit. For any assistance in the event of having a
punctured tyre, or should the vehicle not be supplied with a spare wheel and tyre or a tyre repair kit, please call the
Europcar Tyre Helpline 0800 0280 999. Loosen the retaining bolt to lower the wheel to the ground. The tools and jack
are stored inside the rear doors. Move the vehicle to firm / level ground. Turn the engine off, select first gear (manual) or
P (automatic). Apply the handbrake or parking brake. Loosen the wheel nuts (do not remove them). Only use the specific
reinforced jack points on the underside of the vehicle. Crank the jack to lift the vehicle. Undo wheel nuts and change the
wheel. Lower the vehicle. Tighten the wheel nuts.
To change gears press the button on the shift lever and move the lever forwards or backwards. Select N for neutral, P
when leaving the vehicle, R for reversing (the vehicle must be at a complete standstill before this gear can be selected).
For normal driving select D where the transmission will use all available forward gears automatically (a ‘kickdown ‘ facility is
provided when the accelerator is pressed all the way to the floor past the normal acceleration point forcing the transmission
to select a lower gear to obtain maximum acceleration. Release pressure on the accelerator to return to normal accelerator
use). To manually select gears use the S gear selector. Whenever the vehicle is at a standstill apply the handbrake.

in petrol vehicles (see inside of
