In ambient temperatures greater than 100°F (38°C), it is recommended
that the maximum GCW be reduced to 8,000 lb. (3,629 kg) for the 3.73
axle. At these temperatures, vehicle speed should be kept below 60
mph (97 km/h) during highway operation. Extended operation above
4,000 rpm should be avoided.
