Type the following in the command line:

ping 192.168.1.2

. (Make sure there is a space

between ping and 192.) Press the ENTER key and a ping test is executed. The reply messages
should appear similar to the following screen.

. Press the ENTER key. The

screen displays the Ethernet IP configuration (Adapters 0, 1, and 2)

Double-click the Internet Explorer icon and type the following in the address line:

ftp://192.168.1.3

. Three folders should appear as shown in the following illustration. The fold-

ers are BACK (background), FORE (foreground), and MISC.

Now you are ready to import new, updated software or jpeg images to and from your MX-4.
Details about how to transfer files are described in further detail in “Transferring Files TO or
FROM the MX-4” on page 128.
