IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!

intended to alert users to the existence of important instructions in
the user manual relating to the use and maintenance of the device.

5. Do not use this equipment
where water is present.
6. Do not install the amp near
any heat source or in the engine
compartment.
7. All maintenance tasks should
be performed by a qualified
professional. Maintenance is
required in case of any kind
of damage to the device
(spillages or objects inserted
into the device, exposure to
rain or humidity, if the device
malfunctions or overturns, etc.).
8. For the avoidance of risk, do
not use any accessories that
have not been recommended by
the equipment manufacturer.
9. Do not open the product or
perform any modifications due
to the risk of accident, fire or
electric shock.
10. When replacement
components are needed, make
sure that the maintenance
technician uses the components
recommended by the
manufacturer or components
with the same technical features
as the original product. Using
non-compliant components
could cause fires, electric
shocks or other risks.
11. After any maintenance or
repair work on the device, ask
the maintenance technician to
test it to check that it works
safely.
12. To avoid damaging your
hearing, do not listen to sound
at high volumes for long
periods of time. Listening to
sounds at high volumes can
cause damage to the user’s
ears and may lead to hearing
problems (temporary or
permanent deafness, buzzing in
the ears, tinnitus, hyperacusis).
Exposure to excessive volumes
(over 85 dB) for more than
one hour can cause irreparable
damage to your hearing.
13. Don’t turn on any function
likely to distract you when
driving, any actions or
adjustments that require more
in-depth attention must only be
made when the vehicle is at a
complete stop. Make sure you
stop the vehicle in a safe place
before turning on any functions.
Failure to do so could cause an
accident.
14. Keep the volume low so
you can hear external noises
when driving the vehicle (risk of
accident).
15. Make sure the products are
securely fastened in the vehicle.
The product could become a
projectile in the event of a crash
or sudden braking.

• Use your FIT 9.660 amplifier with 12 volt mobile applications only. Using the product for
anything other than its designated use could cause fires, electric shock or injury.
• Use appropriate amperage fuses. There is a risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not obstruct the radiator on your FIT 9.660 amplifier. This could cause internal overheating and
cause a fire.
• Ensure the product is properly connected. Check the cross-section size and the type of cable. There is
a risk of fire, injury and/or damaging the equipment.
• Do not use steering or braking nuts and bolts, tanks, belts or other safety elements for earthing the
equipment. Using these components to earth the equipment may disable the vehicle's control system
and cause fire or other damage.
• Keep small items that may be ingested, such as bolts, accessories, or screws, out of the reach of
children. Ingestion of such objects may result in serious injury. In the event of ingestion, seek medical
advice.
• Before starting the installation, disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid risk of injury, fire or
damage to the equipment. (fig. 1)
• Discontinue any use in case of problems. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage to the unit. If
a malfunction persists, return the device to your Focal dealer for repair.
• Use the specified accessories and install them correctly. Use only the accessories mentioned in the
user manual, as well as those provided in the package. Use of other components may cause internal
damage to the product, or its installation may not be performed properly. Used parts may loosen and
cause damage or technical failure of the product. There is a risk of accident, fire or electric shock.
• Do not install the product in very humid or dusty areas. Avoid installing the equipment in areas of
the vehicle subjected to high humidity or excessive dust. Penetration of moisture or dust inside the
product may cause a failure.
• The size of the cable cross-sections must be sufficient.
